Photographs of Club of Rome taken in 1983 and 1984. Photographs courtesy of Rene Muir.

Rene Muir and Martin Lind shared a roll of film one night at the ANU bar possibly in July 1983. Daded 9 were also on the bill and it may have been the first gig by Hell Yes. It is not known exactly who took each shot although Rene is clearly visible in the audience in some of the shots.

The last three colour shots were taken in 1984 at a gig at the ANU bar with Hell Yes and the Young Docteurs. The date is unknown.

Club of Rome were one of Australia’s seminal post-punk bands originating from the nation’s capital in the early 1980’s. Rene Muir and Martin Lind were taking photographs for a fanzine they were working on titled Subterfuge when some of these photographs were taken.
